Are coco coir pots good?
Should I water Coco every day?
The frequency of watering depends on the evaporation and the water supply in the COCO A common rule is; one daily watering is sufficient during the first few weeks under normal circumstances; then increase up to 2 times a day; 2 hours after the lamps have been turned on and 2 hours before they are switched off again.
How long should cocopeat be soaked?
Dissolve calcium nitrate (available in agri supply stores) in water in the ratio of 1 g per litre and allow the cocopeat to soak in the solution for 12 hours. Drain any remaining solution and wash the coco peat again in soft water a couple of times. The cocopeat is now ready for use as a hydroponics medium.
What pots are best for coco coir?
It is preferential for a grower to place coir blocks within the larger containers such as air pots, plastic pots and fabric bags. Fabric pots are ideal to start with cloners and new seedlings, it comes in different sizes of 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10 gallons. A 5 gallon fabric pot is best suited for a 5kg compressed coco block.
Do roots grow through coco coir pots?
There is no transplanting shock, as plant roots can grow through the coir pots as they grow, and the pot itself degrades into the soil over time.
